  • Triage Model- A placement practice that involves the creation of a “triage” team that brings together the key partners on a case, including family, to make a thoughtful family-based placement that is well-supported. 

  • Kinship Firewall - A protocol to require a higher level of approval for all non-kinship placements.

  • Director’s Approval- A toolkit that provides sample protocols and forms to implement a higher-level approval for all congregate care placements.

  • Kinship Navigator (Good Shepherd Services) - The Kinship Navigator serves as a resource for families by addressing their needs and assessing the impact of specific programming, systems, policies and procedures.
